New Castle, Delaware, June 7, 2006 - Sky-Trax Incorporated announced today completion of the successful installation of its Sky-Marx Overhead Labeling System™ in a three million square foot distribution center operated by a leading international retailer. More than 4,500 floor labels, each identifying a bulk storage lane, were replaced by fewer than 600 ceiling-mounted Sky-Marx strips. Each strip contains pre-positioned barcode and human readable labels matching the respective storage lane below it and allowing unobstructed viewing and scanning. Benefits include elimination of floor label maintenance and replacement costs, improved scan-ability and readability, and an anticipated significant reduction in data collection errors.
Sky-Marx Overhead Labeling System is an innovative, patent-pending product that places labels on durable netting which is suspended overhead storage areas to identify locations or storage positions. Reliable scanning is made possible by high quality label materials, while easy installation is facilitated by its lightweight, sturdy design. Offering line-of-sight viewing and scanning, Sky-Marx strips are available in lengths from 25 to 300 feet and widths from 8 inches to 7.5 feet.
