Sky-Trax Announces Selection as AMSKAN Master Distributor for the U.S. for Fork-Alert Pedestrian Warning Product Line

New Castle, Delaware, February 8, 2007 - Sky-Trax, Inc., a leading supplier of real-time vehicle location, safety and inventory tracking systems, has announced an agreement with AMSKAN Holdings Pty Ltd. headquartered in Victoria, Australia, to distribute the Fork-Alert products and Sweepscan™ technology in the U.S.

FORK-ALERT™ is one of many practical applications of Sweepscan and is revolutionizing the forklift industry with its innovative use of infrared technology to warn pedestrians or other vehicles that a forklift is in the immediate vicinity. An infrared signal is transmitted from the forklift-mounted beacon to sensors that are placed strategically around the site (typically in “blind spots” and recognized danger areas). When the sensors detect a signal from the forklift beacon, warning lights and/or audible alarms and/or physical barriers are activated, alerting pedestrians and dramatically reducing the chance of a workplace accident.

With its focus on cost effective warehouse management and the provision of a safer workplace environment, Sky-Trax is ideally positioned to effectively introduce Fork-Alert products into the US marketplace. “The statistics are frightening; in the US alone one person is killed in a fork truck related accident every three days” said Lindsay Cordner, Global Sales and Marketing Director, AMSKAN Holdings Pty Ltd. “AMSKAN Holdings, in an effort to help reduce these appalling statistics is very excited with the appointment of Sky-Trax as their master distributor for North America for its patented Fork-Alert products” added Cordner.

AMSKAN’s patented vehicle sensor technology - Sweepscan™ - remotely detects a coded infrared signal at an accurate range (which is adjustable) and in a wide and configurable detection zone. Sweepscan’s unique combination of features allows it to be used in an extraordinary range of applications, from door automation, factory automation and pedestrian warning to anti-collision systems on an enormous scale. Globally, AMSKAN clients are using the Sweepscan technology in all of these applications to significantly improve the efficiency of their operations.

“We’re delighted to introduce Fork-Alert products to the US marketplace” said Larry Mahan, CEO Sky-Trax Inc. “We believe AMSKAN’s Fork-Alert technology fills an important safety gap that unfortunately exists within most warehouses” added Mahan.
